`Life as if an Act on the Stage’.
Does the character in the act mean anything?
Could the act go on with only the supporting crew and no character?

Portraying my life… am lacking of a front stage character. But have a number of back stage supporting crews. Is it time for me to put up an audition, in-search of the front stage character for my act?
Scripted out of an inspiration from a man who choose to be at my back stage, to be my supporting crew and support me throughout my life. There is a well-known saying about `Life as if an Act on the Stage’. Wonder how true this saying is?
If it’s really true & sense making, does the character in the act mean anything? Or it is the supporting crew that complete the act? Could the character act without the supporting crew? Or could the act go on with only the supporting crew and no character?
Obviously with both is the best solution. Everyone knows that. Unfortunately, there is always imperfection in lives. We always couldn’t have both to complete the act. The act couldn’t go on without the backstage supporting crews. It just simply couldn’t survive.
But, without a character permanently at the front stage, the act would only resulted into boredom. Spectators expect to see the fame of the characters, the touching story line of the act and the happy ending of the show that is agreeable to the society norm. They forget about the supporting crews that keep the act on - going; they choose not to acknowledge the back stage effort, they choose to ignore.
But the act wouldn’t. The act acknowledged the effort of the supporting crews, appreciates what happened back stage to maintain the show & keep it rolling. When technical problem occurs, the act refers to the back stage without second thoughts or any hesitation.
The act knows the supporting crews will put in all their efforts and resources to solve any problem that might occurs, to get broken things fix. They owns the abilities, they have the tools. Come whatever may they would say.
What about the front stage character? He only beautifies the act. Please the spectator expectations. He thought he’s the soul of the act; he’s the one that controls the whole show. But he’ll never know that without the back stage assistance and maintenance, he would never get all the fame that he owns out of the act. The act would never survive and sustain at the first place without the supporting crews existence.
Unfortunately, what an ironic when the character choose not to share this fame out with the back stage supporting crews. Neither would the spectators, they choose to ignore instead. Ignore the efforts puts in from the back stage.
Backstage itself, the supporting crews, they are comfortable in there, they don’t even bother to share the fame, they are more than willing to give whatever needed by the show to satisfy the act just for the sake of the act, they are confident enough to not being acknowledged, they don’t need the act’s fame to secure their self-worth, they are fully confident and well aware of their abilities. Merely a permission to be recruited as the part of the act is enough to sustain them to sacrifice for the show.
Portraying my life, my act, my stage and my show. I am lacking of my front stage character that demands by most of my spectators. But lucky enough for me to have a number of self-offer volunteers to be at my back stage as well as to be the supporting crews of my act.
The question now is, shall I comply with the spectator’s demand? Should I put up an audition, in-search of a character for my act? Is it time yet to do so? Is my act icing from long term boredom or does the supporting back stage crews have enough fire and heat it up to keep my act warm?
